Most WordPress chat plugins are a doorway to someone else’s service, billed per agent every month. ReplaChat builds a plugin for each of your sites with its key already inside. Upload it, activate it, and the chats arrive in your own inbox, on your own server, with the shopper’s WooCommerce basket beside them.

What the plugin does
It is one PHP file, made for one shop. On every page of your site it loads the ReplaChat widget from your server, in that shop’s colours, logo and wording. Nothing to configure in WordPress: the key that ties the site to its shop is written into the plugin when you download it.
- The bubble on every front-end page, never in wp-admin.
- Logged-in customers are recognised. If someone is signed in to WordPress, the plugin passes their name and email with a signature, so your agent knows it really is them.
- The WooCommerce basket goes with every message: each item, quantity and price, and the total, shown to your agent as “In their basket right now”.
- Safe on a site with no shop. Without WooCommerce it simply leaves the basket out.
- A “Customise my chat” link on the Plugins screen takes you straight to that shop’s settings in ReplaChat.

Install it in three steps
- Download the plugin for your shop. In ReplaChat, open Settings → Stores, pick the shop, choose “Put chat on” that shop, then “Download the WordPress plugin”. You get a .zip made for that shop alone.
- Upload it to WordPress. In wp-admin, open Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the .zip, then Install Now and Activate Plugin.
- Open your site. The bubble is in the corner, in your shop’s colours. Send a message and it lands in your inbox. If you would rather see it first, “Try it on a practice shop” in ReplaChat shows the same bubble on a dummy page.
Other sites. Not on WordPress? The same chat goes on any website with one short script in the footer: Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or a site your developer built.

Several WordPress sites, one inbox
If you run more than one shop, this is the part the per-agent plugins make expensive. In ReplaChat every site is a shop with its own bubble, greeting, opening hours and away message. Every chat lands in one inbox, labelled with the shop it came from.
- Tick which shops each person answers. An agent who covers only the surf shop never sees the bike shop’s chats, not in the inbox, not in search, not in the reports.
- Chats are handed out automatically to whoever is free, within the shops they cover.
- No seat or site count. Add a shop or a person and the price stays $299.

Past orders need one more step
The plugin sends the basket. To show past orders as well, your shop sends them through the API, Zapier or Make.
Questions about the WordPress plugin
Is the ReplaChat WordPress plugin free?
It comes with ReplaChat, which is $299 once. There is no fee per site or per agent: your ReplaChat server builds a plugin for every shop you add, as many as you like.
Does it work without WooCommerce?
Yes. On a site with no shop it shows the chat bubble and, if a visitor is logged in to WordPress, tells your agent who they are. WooCommerce adds the basket.
Will it slow my site down?
It loads one small script asynchronously, with no jQuery or other dependencies, so the page does not wait for it. The chat window draws inside its own Shadow DOM, so your theme’s styles and the chat’s cannot clash.
Does the chat set cookies on my site?
No. The widget keeps a random visitor id in the browser’s local storage so a returning shopper sees their earlier chat. It never sets a cookie on your shop. Whether you mention it in your privacy notice is a question for your own adviser.
Can I use it on several WordPress sites?
Yes. Each shop you add in ReplaChat gets its own plugin with its own key, colours and wording, and all of their chats arrive in one inbox. Each person on your team sees only the shops you tick for them.
Is it on wordpress.org?
No. It is downloaded from your own ReplaChat, already set up for that shop. The plugin is a thin loader: the chat itself is served by your server, so when you update ReplaChat every site gets the new version without touching WordPress.
What will my agents see from WooCommerce?
What is in the shopper’s basket right now, with each item, quantity and price, and the total. If the shopper is logged in, their name and email, checked with a signature so nobody can pretend to be a customer. Past orders can be added through the REST API or the Zapier and Make “Add or Update a Shopper” step; the plugin itself sends the basket.
