Live chat for online shops
Ecommerce live chat that sees the basket
A shopper with a question and a full basket is the cheapest sale you will ever make, if somebody answers. ReplaChat puts a chat bubble on every shop you run, shows your team what is in the basket, and sends every chat to one inbox. You pay once, not per agent.

What a shop needs from live chat
Support chat for software is about fixing problems. Chat on a shop is about the minute before checkout: will it fit, when will it arrive, is the blue one in stock. That changes what the tool has to do.
See the basket
An agent who can see the three items and the total answers “will these arrive by Friday?” without asking the shopper to list them.
Know which shop
If you run more than one store, each chat has to arrive labelled, in the right voice, to the people who know that shop.
Be honest about hours
A bubble that promises a reply and gets none is worse than no bubble. Out of hours it should say so and take a message.
Cost the same in December
Seasonal staff should not mean a bigger bill. Per-agent pricing charges you for every extra pair of hands.
What ReplaChat shows beside every chat
- The basket right now: each item, quantity and price, and the total. Sent by the WordPress plugin from WooCommerce, or by your theme on any other platform.
- Who they are, when they are logged in to your shop, checked with a signature so nobody can pose as a customer.
- Where they wrote from: the page they started on and each page they sent a message from, with browser and device.
- Past orders and total spent, when your shop sends them through the REST API or the Zapier and Make “Add or Update a Shopper” step.
- Every earlier conversation with that shopper, in the shops you are allowed to see.

Chats from several shops in one list; the open chat’s customer details on the right.
Built for more than one shop
Most chat tools treat a second store as a second subscription, or a second workspace with its own seats. In ReplaChat a shop is just a row: add as many as you run.
- A bubble per shop with its own colours, logo, greeting, position and wording.
- Opening hours and an away message per shop, so the surf shop can close at six while the bike shop answers until nine.
- Per-person, per-shop access. Seasonal help can answer one shop and see nothing else.
- Automatic hand-out to whoever is free, within the shops they cover.
- Reports per shop and per person: chats, first reply time, time to resolve and customer ratings.

Works with your shop platform
| Platform | How it goes on | What your agents see |
|---|---|---|
| WooCommerce | The WordPress plugin, built for that shop | Basket, logged-in customer, pages |
| Shopify | One script in the theme | Pages; basket if your theme passes it |
| Wix, Squarespace, custom | One script in the site footer | Pages; basket if your site passes it |
| Any platform | REST API, Zapier or Make | Past orders and total spent, when sent |
Pop-up invites can open the chat on chosen pages after a set number of seconds, for example on the delivery page after twenty. Invites by basket value or for returning visitors are available through the API.
What it costs next to the chat apps
Three people answering chat, prices from each company’s own pricing page on 9 October 2026, billed yearly where they offer it.
| Three people answering | Their price | A year | Five years |
|---|---|---|---|
| LiveChat (Text) Essential | $19 per person a month, 60 days of history | $684 | $3,420 |
| LiveChat Team (older plan) | $49 per person a month | $1,764 | $8,820 |
| Intercom Essential | $29 per seat a month + $0.99 per AI answer | $1,044 | $5,220 |
| Crisp Essentials | $95 per workspace a month | $1,140 | $5,700 |
| Tidio Growth | $49.17 a month for 250 conversations | $590 | $2,950 |
| ReplaChat | $299 once + your own server | $429 | $949 |
ReplaChat’s figures are the $299 licence plus about $130 a year of server. Updates after the first year are an optional $49 a year; the software keeps working without them.
What it deliberately isn’t
Not a chatbot
No AI answers your customers. Rules, saved replies and macros keep your people fast.
Not a Shopify app
On Shopify the chat goes on with a script, and orders come in through the API or Zapier, not by themselves.
Not WhatsApp or Instagram
Website chat, email and Telegram arrive in the one inbox. Social messaging is not part of it.
You need a server
One command installs it with HTTPS, on a server of about €5–15 a month. Or we set it up or host it for you.
Questions shop owners ask
What is ecommerce live chat?
A chat window on your shop that a person on your team answers while the shopper is still on the page. For a shop it matters most just before checkout: a question about size, delivery or stock answered in a minute is a sale that would otherwise have been an abandoned basket.
Can my agents see what is in the customer’s basket?
On WooCommerce, yes: the ReplaChat WordPress plugin sends each item, quantity and price and the total with every message. On Shopify and other platforms the chat works from one script, and the basket can be passed from your theme with one line of code.
Does ReplaChat work with Shopify?
The chat bubble works on Shopify by pasting one script into the theme. There is no Shopify app, so ReplaChat does not read Shopify orders by itself. You can send the basket from the theme, and past orders through the REST API, Zapier or Make.
I run several shops. Do I need several accounts?
No. Every shop gets its own bubble, colours, greeting and opening hours, and all chats arrive in one inbox, labelled by shop. You choose, shop by shop, which people may answer.
Does ReplaChat answer customers with AI?
No. It has saved replies, rules and macros so your people answer quickly, but every answer comes from a person. That is a deliberate choice, explained in our chatbot vs live chat guide.
What happens when nobody is online?
Each shop has opening hours. Outside them the bubble says you are away and the shopper can leave a message, which waits in the inbox. The pre-chat form can ask for their email address first, so you can write back.
Own your live chat.
$299 once. Every shop, every person, one inbox. Nobody charges you per agent again.
The demo is read-only, with its logins on the homepage. Questions first? hello@replachat.com, or the chat bubble in the corner, which is ReplaChat itself.
